Gwalior | May 22, 2025: The Rustamji Institute of Technology (RJIT), a premier institution run by the Border Security Force (BSF), paid a glorious tribute to its visionary founder, Padma Vibhushan Late Shri K.F. Rustamji, through a series of patriotic and commemorative events that celebrated his life, values, and unparalleled service to the nation.
The day began with a spirited Tiranga Yatra—a tricolour march from the RJIT campus to Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium—that witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and BSF personnel. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Shamsher Singh, ADG and Director of BSF Academy, and was graced by the presence of Shri Cyrus Rustamji, son of the late Shri K.F. Rustamji.
A solemn tribute was also paid to the BSF martyrs who laid down their lives during Operation Sindoor, in a deeply moving ceremony that reflected the force’s respect and remembrance for its fallen heroes.
The celebrations continued at Kautilya Auditorium, where dignitaries, cadets, and faculty members offered floral tributes and delivered inspiring speeches reflecting on the legacy of Shri Rustamji, widely revered as the architect of modern border management and a founding pillar of the BSF.
In his address, Shri Cyrus Rustamji reaffirmed his support for the continued growth and excellence of RJIT. He engaged with students and staff, sharing insights and expressing hope for the institute’s future as a beacon of technical education and national service.
This event served not only as a tribute to Shri K.F. Rustamji’s enduring ideals of leadership, discipline, and patriotism, but also as a powerful reaffirmation of the BSF’s commitment to nation-building through education and valor.
“Shri K.F. Rustamji’s vision continues to inspire generations. Today’s tribute reflects our collective gratitude and dedication to uphold the values he stood for,” said Dr. Shamsher Singh, ADG.
