Vijayawada: Nanduri Sambasiva Rao, a 1984-batch Indian Police Service officer, is the new Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh, who took over from Jasti Venkata Ramudu on July 23 who retired on Saturday completing his two year fixed tenure. Rao was the managing director of AP State Road Transport Corporation prior to taking over the present post. As per a law enacted by the AP legislature in 2014, the state DGP (HoPF) will have a fixed two-year tenure irrespective of the date of superannuation.]]>
