NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh Police was on Friday ordered to register a criminal case against state minister and Samajwadi Party leader Gayatri Prajapati for allegedly gang-raping a woman and also attempting to rape her daughter. Conduct an inquiry and submit an action taken report to the court in a sealed cover within eight weeks said a bench headed by Justice AK Sikri to Police. A woman from Chitrakooot who accused Prajapati of repeatedly raping her had filed a petition, following this the court order had come.
