Bhopal : The Ten best police stations are selected every year by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, after evaluating all the police stations in the country. In the same sequence, in the year 2022,Betul police station in Chopna district has been selected among the 10 best police stations in the country. It has been announced by BPRD on January 20, 2023 at the All India Director General of Police Conference, New Delhi. Madhya Pradesh reached to participate in the said conference. This information has been given by the Director General of Police Mr. Sudhir Kumar Saxena. R.A.A. Bureau’s A.D.G. Mr. Chanchal Shekhar told that Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, for the selection of the best police stations, 3 police stations from each state were first selected on the basis of criminal data, on the basis of solving the efforts of women, weaker sections, property related crimes and missing and unidentified dead bodies.
By doing this, all the selected police stations are evaluated on the basis of annual records and field survey of the police stations, in which prevention of crimes, law and order situation, settlement of old cases, community policing, conviction of crimes and police station by an independent team selected by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Evaluation is done by questioning the people of the area, businessmen, complaining people. In this episode, police station Chopna of district Betul has secured the sixth place among all police stations in the country. Due to COVID 19, the process of selection of best police station has been started by BPRD after two years. Expressing happiness over this, the Director General of Police Mr. Sudhir Kumar Saxena has congratulated District Betul Superintendent of Police Ms. Simala Prasad and the then Chopna police station in-charge Mr. Abdul Rauf Khan and all the staff and Instructions have been given to the Superintendents of Police to make other police stations of the same level excellent.
