Udupi, Karnataka: The 80th Independence Day was celebrated in the premises of the Shirva village police station in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, celebration and patriotism. On this occasion, Station House Officer Manjunath Marab hoisted the national flag and paid homage to the national flag.
Speaking later, the Station House Officer said that the responsibility of the police department is important in maintaining peace, order and public safety in the country. He called on every police personnel to act with loyalty, honesty and commitment.
4 ASIs, 10 head constables, 15 police personnel and local dignitaries of the station were present at the program and exchanged Independence Day greetings with each other. The eminent personalities who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence were remembered on this occasion.
