Siliguri: On 27/06/21 acting upon input received in Matigara helpline number, officers and men of Matigara Police Station arrested two drug peddlers namely Prasanna Bagchi also known as “Puchu” of Rabindra Sarani, Shibmandir near BEd College, Matigara and his associate named Raunak Pradhan, of Chiriya More, Durgamandir from Phansidewa More Matigara, along with one Black color Yamaha Motorcycle in which they were traveling.
During the search made by the police 22 kilograms of Ganja were seized from their possession. Puchu and Raunak Pradhan were actively operating and supplying drugs and contraband substances to the drug abusers at Durga Mandir, Haler Matha, and the Pakistan Busty area. The Police said that we welcome such inputs from our good citizens in our helpline number. Both of them will be produced before the Ld Court tomorrow, with a prayer for police remand.
