Siliguri: On 18/06/21, after receiving information from a reliable source, the SOG team of SPC, assisted by personnel from the Bagdogra police station conducted a raid at the Rangapani Railgate area and arrested two suspected drug traffickers.
The duo has been identified as Md. Ajit (28), and Subhankar Ghosh (26). The suspects confessed to their involvement in drug trafficking upon interrogation and leading to their confessional statements, the officers raided the house of Md. Ajit, from where they recovered and seized a packet containing 290 grams of brown sugar, an Apache motorcycle, five mobile phones, three weighing machines, and Rs.2,15,000/- in cash.
Necessary legal steps are being taken against both the accused persons.
