Srikakulam: On Tuesday morning, District SP Mr. K.V. Maheswara Reddy, IPS, noticed an elderly disabled man without a leg sitting on the premises as he arrived at the police office. The SP approached the man, inquired about his reasons for visiting, and accepted his petition. The man, Paila Madhavayya from Kovilam village in L.N. Peta mandal, supports his poor family by buying and selling plants. He had reported the theft of his plants to the Sarubujjili police station, but no action had been taken so far. The SP immediately contacted the Sarubujjili PSSI, informed them of Madhavayya’s situation, and directed them to resolve the issue. He also instructed that steps be taken to ensure compensation is paid to the victim by the person responsible for the theft.
