Tirunelveli: Arogya Reman (45), a resident of Siva Street in Kookaraipatti, Tirunelveli district, runs a pottery shop and a pawn shop in the Mulakaraipatti Bazaar commercial complex. On August 23rd, miscreants stole 278 pounds of gold jewelry and Rs. 3 lakh from his pawn shop. The Kookaraipatti police registered a case and launched an investigation. Following the directive of Tirunelveli District Superintendent of Police, N. Silambarasan, five additional special teams have been formed to expedite the investigation. After reviewing CCTV footage from the area, police have questioned over 20 individuals. Based on the gathered information, the special teams are now conducting investigations in Madurai and Dindigul areas.
