Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: Srikakulam District Police organized a free mega medical camp at the District Police Office to promote the health, safety and welfare of police personnel and their families.
The camp was organized in collaboration with Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited and KIMS Hospitals, Srikakulam, with District SP Sri K.V. Maheswara Reddy, IPS, attending as the chief guest and inaugurating the programme.
Around 200 police officers, staff members and their family members participated in the camp and benefited from free preventive health screenings, including ECG, 2D Echo, audiometry, Random Blood Sugar (RBS), eye and dental examinations, blood pressure monitoring and blood sugar tests. Participants were also provided necessary medical advice.
Speaking on the occasion, the District SP emphasized that the Police Department gives high priority to the health and welfare of personnel who work continuously to ensure the safety and security of society. He advised police personnel to pay close attention to their health, considering the stress and demanding nature of police duties.
The SP highlighted the importance of preventive health check-ups for early detection and timely treatment of health problems. He also stressed the value of health insurance in reducing the financial burden on families during unexpected medical emergencies.
The programme reflects Srikakulam Police’s continued commitment to personnel welfare, preventive healthcare and a healthier police force, enabling police personnel to serve the public more effectively.
Doctors and staff from KIMS Hospitals and representatives of Star Health supported the programme, including Branch Manager Muddada Krishnaiah, Chief Sales Manager Ch. Balakrishna, Agency Development Manager B. Yugandhar and HRM Kotari Venkatesh.
