Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: Srikakulam District Police, under the direction of District SP Sri K.V. Maheswara Reddy, IPS, are actively conducting public awareness programmes across villages and towns through the Nari Shakti, Sankalpam and Abhayam initiatives.
Through Nari Shakti, women and girls are being educated about the Shakti App, women’s safety, social media harassment, cyber fraud and prevention of child marriages.
The Sankalpam programme focuses on creating awareness about women’s safety, the harmful effects of drugs, drug abuse, cybercrime prevention and the importance of remaining vigilant against online offences.
Under the Abhayam Helmet programme, police personnel are educating the public about the importance of wearing helmets, following traffic rules and adopting safe road practices to prevent road accidents and protect lives.
The police are also spreading awareness about essential emergency services, including 112 for emergency assistance, 1930 for cybercrime complaints, 1098 for child-related assistance, and Eagle 1972, along with promoting the use of the Shakti App.
These sustained awareness initiatives demonstrate Srikakulam Police’s strong commitment to community safety, women and child protection, cybercrime prevention, drug control and road safety, while encouraging citizens to actively cooperate with the police in building a safer society.
