The conviction stems from FIR No. 69/2025, registered at Police Station Anantnag under Sections 303(2) and 238 of the BNS. The case was initiated following a written complaint by Shri Ab. Demonstrating prompt action, Anantnag Police launched an efficient investigation, leading to the arrest of two accused individuals — Faizan Ahmad Bhat and Muneeb Saleem Wani, both residents of Bangidar, Anantnag. Following sustained interrogation, the accused confessed to the theft, and the stolen vehicle was successfully recovered based on their disclosure.

The case was charge-sheeted in a timely manner before the Hon’ble Court of Special Mobile Magistrate, Anantnag. After due legal proceedings, both accused were convicted and sentenced to three months of judicial imprisonment, along with a fine of ₹3,000 each.
