Rachakonda: Rachakonda Commissioner Mr. Sudhir Babu IPS has called for the radical eradication of the child labor system which spoils the childhood of children who should happily study and play songs.
Operation Smile 10th Coordination Meeting was held today at Rachakonda Commissionerate Office in Nered Met. Speaking in this program, the Commissioner stated that the system of child labor has become like a disease in the society and it is destroying the childhood of many innocent children. It was mainly due to the poverty of the parents that the children got stuck in the work and lost their golden future. Regardless of the financial condition of the parents, they should not push their children into the labor market, the government is running many free programs and schemes for the education of the children and they should make use of them. He called for public participation in the elimination of free jobs and people should also consider it as their moral responsibility.
The CP stated that strict measures are being taken to eliminate human trafficking and child labor in Rachakonda. He said that they are keeping an iron foot on human trafficking, many people have been rescued by special teams and cases have been registered. He reminded that work site schools are being run from their residential areas so that the children of workers should not be deprived of education due to the brick coming from other states like Odisha and Bihar.
DCP Women Safety Ms. Usha Viswanath, ACP Mr. Venkatesham, Rangareddy District Welfare Officer Mr. Krishna Reddy, Rangareddy District CWC Chairman Mr. Narendra, Medchal District CWC Mr. Raja Reddy, Yadadri CWC Chairman Ms. Jayashree, Rangareddy District Deputy Medical Officer Dr. Gita Geetha were present in this program. Mr. P.O. Praveen, Mr. Imtiaz, Mr. Saidulu, Balaraksha Bhawan officials, Child and Labor Department officials, Education Department officials, Bachapan Bachao Andolan representative Mr. Venkateswarlu, Child Line officials and other Rachakonda police officers and staff were present.
