Hyderabad, Telangana: The RBVRR Telangana Police Academy has strengthened educational opportunities for children of police personnel with the inauguration of a newly upgraded Computer Centre at the Tarangajyothi Learning Centre.
The upgraded facility has been made possible through a generous Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contribution of 25 computers by ICICI Bank, supporting technology-enabled learning for children from police families.
The inauguration was attended by the Director of the Telangana Police Academy, senior police officers and ICICI Bank National Head Rajneesh Khanna and State Head K.V. Rangachari.
The Tarangajyothi Learning Centre provides educational and developmental support to more than 3,000 students annually. In addition to computer education, the centre offers courses and activities in English, Mathematics, Arts and Crafts, and Yoga, helping children develop academic, creative and life skills.
The initiative also reflects the importance of private-sector participation in supporting police families and creating better educational opportunities for the children of dedicated law-enforcement personnel.
As part of its staff-welfare initiatives, the Academy also provides ‘Chinnari’ Creche, a safe childcare facility for the children of police personnel during duty hours. The facility enables police staff to carry out their professional responsibilities while ensuring a secure and caring environment for their children.
The collaboration between ICICI Bank and the Telangana Police Academy demonstrates how CSR partnerships can contribute to education, digital literacy and welfare initiatives for police families, creating meaningful community impact.
