Thrissur City: An extensive raid led by Thrissur City Police to find drugs and cannabis. The joint raid was carried out by local police, members of the shadow police led by the city police commissioner and a dog squad. Poultry at Anakkal Center following raids at various places within Nedupuzha police station 60 packets of banned tobacco products were seized from Vinayan’s (44) shop.
During a search of the house of Shibin (26) at Chetupuzha Pallathu within the limits of the Town West police station, two packets of cannabis were seized.The police intelligence unit has collected information on the use and sale of cannabis and narcotics in different parts of the district. Drug trafficking gangs operate on vacant lots, unoccupied buildings and landfills, especially at night. The raid was based on the discovery that anti-social activities were being carried out here using drugs.
The cannabis dogs and the banned tobacco product were found by Thrissur City Police’s Delma and Rural Police’s Rana, who were trained to detect concealed drugs.Nedupuzha police station Inspector Mr. TG Dileep, West Police Station Sub-Inspector Mr. Baiju and Shadow Police Sub-Inspector Mr. N.G. Suvratha Kumar and K-9 Squad civil police officers Mr. Rakesh, Mr. Jojo and Mr. Manoj were also present. Raids will continue in the coming days on suspicious places and homes.
