Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh DGP Mr. K. V. Rajendranath Reddy IPS Garu said that after two years after Corona, a strong security has been arranged for the Srivari Brahmotsavam organized among the devotees. On Monday, he inspected the four Madaveedhus in Tirumala. After that, many instructions were given to the staff who attended the Brahmotsavam duties.
Tight security arrangements have been made for Brahmotsavams. After two years, Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavam is being held in four Mada streets. As a large number of devotees are likely to come to witness this ceremony, we have made suitable security arrangements. Along with TTD affiliated temples, railway station, RTC bus stands, TTD accommodation complexes, we have identified every busy area and set up heavy security. A special activity has been designed as a pre-emptive measure to prevent theft. In the busy areas of Tirumala, we have put up flexi boards with photos of thieves at the main intersection to alert people. Constantly keeping an eye on suspicious persons, the staff perform their duties vigilantly.
CM’s arrival on 27th… Tight security
It has been customary for CM to present silk clothes to Lord Sri for many years, similarly on 27th of this month (Tuesday), Chief Minister Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy will present silk clothes to Lord Swami. On this occasion, we have arranged strict security for the Chief Minister. We have taken security measures to prevent any irregularities in his journey. The Chief Minister will participate in many inauguration ceremonies in Tirumala Tirupati. We have made security arrangements for the Chief Minister with around 1500 personnel. We will work in coordination with the officials of all departments in Tirumala and make the Srivari Brahmotsavam a success without any differences with anyone.
Intensive checks in busy areas
Till the end of the Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavam, the police are screening the two ghat roads and all areas of Tirumala. Bomb Squad and Dog Squad are checking Ghat Roads in Tirumala areas intensively. These inspections are carried out continuously till the end of the Brahmotsavams. Octopus staffs also work with special surveillance in Tirumala. As soon as the movement of suspicious persons is seen, we are detaining them and investigating them. We have directed the staff to check each and every crowded place till the end of Srivari Brahmotsavams.
Actions without stampede
This time we have instructed the staff to take planned actions without any stampede in the group of Ashesha devotees coming for Srivari Brahmotsavam. We have arranged staff at the entry point and exit points and taken proper precautions. Devotees will be allowed to enter the gallery on the day of Garuda Seva at the time fixed by TTD. The entire Tirumala has CCTV cameras installed and the police monitor them through the command control room. Even if there is an increase in traffic, those areas will be identified immediately and appropriate measures will be taken.
Provision of 38 parking areas for vehicles
We have taken measures for parking in Tirumala without any problems. We have arranged parking at 38 points in Tirumala. As soon as the parking lot in Tirumala is full, we have made arrangements for parking in Devaloka, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Hare Rama Hare Krishna Ground and Nehru Municipal Ground in Tirupati. All those who have come by tourist bus from any place should park their vehicles in Devaloka parking lot. Similarly, no two-wheelers will be allowed in Tirumala from 12 noon on the 30th of the day before the Garuda Seva. Alternatively, they have to park in the designated parking areas in Tirupati.
Inspection of every vehicle entering the district
In celebration of Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavam, we have set up 9 check posts in the district borders. Every vehicle arriving in the district is thoroughly inspected and dispatched. This temporary check post is continuously manned by its personnel.
Security for Srivari Brahmotsavam with 4000 people
It has been mentioned that security will be maintained with a total of 4000 people for Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavam. A total of 4,000 personnel perform duties during Brahmotsavams, and two thousand additional personnel perform duties on the day of Garuda Seva. We have divided it into 43 sectors to cover all areas of Tirumala. We have also appointed one DSP level officer in each sector. CIs and SIs perform their duties under them and take security measures according to the time.
Geo tags for small children, elderly people
We have set up geo-tags in 14 areas for children and old people who come for Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavam. Everyone should tie this geo tag on their hand, through this, if someone goes missing at an unexpected time, we can collect the complete details through the hand geo tag and bring back to your relatives. Devotees who come to Tirumala along with the geo tags attached by the police should also be vigilant and take care of their children and the elderly.
Help desks with women policemen
We have also set up help desks manned by women policemen to give advice and suggestions to the devotees coming to Brahmotsavam. They provide information as well as all necessary departmental assistance in Tirumala to the needy.
Special measures on crime control
We have appointed 250 special officers and staff to control crime during Sri Vari Brahmotsavam. Crime spots like chain snatching, zip opening, bag lifting have already been identified in 30 places in Tirumala. In these areas we have developed advanced technology to recognize fingerprints and face of a person.
The provision is being made by experienced personnel who are able to identify crime ex-offenders in the district. Police personnel from the states of Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra also attended the duty. All of them play a key role in catching thieves in their respective areas.
NIA searches on Popular Front in the country
The controversial Popular Front of India (PFI), which is accused of supporting terrorist activities in the country, is also under intense scrutiny in the state. We have kept a special vigil on such sympathetic activists. Wherever there are such people, we are ready to prepare the staff immediately for their games.
Special operations are divided into 3 sectors with 400 personnel for crime control.
As part of Srivari Brahmotsavam, special measures have been taken to control crime in Tirupati city. Around 400 police personnel were divided into 3 sectors (RTC Bus Stand, Alipiri General Sector) and a DSP level officer was appointed as the in-charge of the sector and strict measures were taken.
Crime spots like chain snatching, zip opening, bag lifting have already been identified in 30 places in Tirumala. These areas are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to recognize fingerprints and a person’s face. The provision is used by staff with knowledge of the district’s crime scene and the identification of criminals. Staff from Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra are also on duty. Lodges, terraces, railway station, bus stand, dormitory, places where folding beds are rented are being thoroughly inspected.
East Sector
Anubhanda Temples under East Sub-Division with 378 personnel duties.
The East sub-division was divided into 4 sectors (Tiruchanoor, Govindarajula Swami Vari Gudi, Kapilatirtham) under the supervision of the DSP level officer and measures were taken to ensure peace and security to the devotees of Srivari.
West Sector
The scope of the West Sub-Division has been divided into 2 sectors (Srinivasa Mangapuram, Srivari Mettu, Vakulamatha Temple, Tummalagunta Temple) under the supervision of the DSP level officer and steps have been taken to ensure that the pilgrims do not face any inconvenience.
Traffic sector
The Traffic Sub-Division area is divided into 8 sectors with 448 police personnel for parking spaces and traffic control. The eight sectors are Airport to Garuda Circle via Karakambadi, Airport to Ramanujapalli via Gajulamandyam, Ramanujapalli Check post to Garuda Circle via Vedic University, Balaji Colony to Garuda Circle via Town Club, Town Internal Traffic Points, Night Duty Points, White Colts & Eagle Mobile, and Stand by Emergency Force.
Time of Traffic Diversions: From 12 noon on 30.09.2022 to morning on 02.10.2022 Traffic diversions will be as follows.
Tirupati Nandu parking spaces for Garudaseva pilgrims:
Devalok Parking: Tourist Buses and vehicles exceeding the limit decided by TTD like Tempo Traveller, Mettador etc. have to park the vehicles at “Devalok Parking” near Zoo Park from Cherlopalli.
Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan School Ground: Small vehicles like cars, jeeps etc. have to park at Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan School Ground which is opposite to Science Centre.
For two wheelers: Two wheelers have to park at old check point at Garuda intersection, ground opposite ISKON temple, medical college ground and Nehru Municipal School ground opposite Maternity Hospital.
