Kolkata: On Saturday, February 13th Tiljala Traffic Guard OC Mr. Sauvik Chakraborty and Sergeant Mr. Rathin Layek were on duty near Science City at EM Bypass While they were on duty at half-past seven in the evening, they suddenly heard the screams of the passengers from a minibus. The two hurried to the bus and saw a middle-aged man fainting inside the crowded bus and bleeding from his nose and mouth.
Finding that the situation is so critical and that there is not enough time to call an ambulance or take the patient off the bus to another vehicle, to get to the hospital as soon as possible, Inspector Mr. Sauvik Chakraborty quickly contacted the traffic control room. Immediately arrangements were made for a ‘Green Corridor’. He and Sergeant Mr. Rathin Layek escorted the bus to the hospital in just six minutes. The sick man was admitted to the hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment.
The Tiljala Traffic Guard collected the name and home address of the person. The middle-aged man’s name is Jamil Akhtar, a resident of North Panchannagram. The news was given to his family. Tiljala traffic guard police were by the man’s side until his relatives reached the hospital.
