Tamil Nadu, Tirunelveli, April 26, 2025: In a decisive action against the illegal drug trade, the Tirunelveli police arrested a man in possession of ganja during a patrol operation.
On 26th April, a police team led by Assistant Inspector Ramanathan was conducting a routine patrol in the Suthamalli area when they spotted a suspicious individual near the Suthamalli railway bridge. Upon inspection, the individual, identified as Praveen Kumar (26), a resident of Suthamalli, was found carrying approximately 60 grams of ganja intended for sale.
Acting swiftly, the police registered a case and arrested Praveen Kumar on the spot. The arrest underscores the Tirunelveli Police Department’s commitment to keeping neighborhoods safe and free from the menace of drugs.
