Ranipet: To create awareness about the Police Day to the public, a free food distribution programme was given to the people of Sholingar, Arakonam. In this mega programme, for about 2000 to the public participated. Also, Police participated in the function.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Arakonam, Mr Manoharan, with his blessing, the Inspector of Police K. Venkatesan presided over the free food distribution programme. In this programme, 150 policemen, including 20 sub-inspectors, were involved in the security service. The Police and the public enjoyed the delicious variety of food.
According to the instructions of the Newsmedia Association of India National President and police news plus chief editor, Mr A. Charles, the Tamil Nadu state president of the New Media Association of India (Broadcasting Media Wing), Mr S. Babu had been organised this Police Day awareness program in great style.
Police day is being observed every year on 24 December. To celebrate the good deeds of the police, the police are being celebrated on 24th December as Police Day.
Every year from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, Police Day was celebrated All the people who are living in their respective areas which come under the jurisdiction of a certain police station, Public people and Police supporters join together and decorating the police station of their area and they distribute sweets, Chocolates, Cakes, mementoes to the police. Also, they put shawls and they present flower bouquets.
Public people and Police supporters arrange a felicitation function to Police. They show their gratitude in a small way to the services that they render to us and our nation by our Police.
It will encourage Police to be more enthusiastic when they say ‘ Wish you a happy Police Day’.
