Latehar, Jharkhand – July 2025: In a significant breakthrough in the fight against extremism, Lavlesh Ganjhu, a top sub-zonal commander of a banned Naxalite outfit and a wanted extremist carrying a bounty of ₹5 lakhs, has surrendered before the Latehar District Police, along with officials from the CRPF and SSB.
This development marks another impactful outcome of the Jharkhand Government’s ongoing surrender and rehabilitation policy, aimed at encouraging misguided youth to abandon violence and reintegrate into society.
Lavlesh Ganjhu’s surrender reflects the growing trust in government initiatives and the sustained efforts of security forces to restore peace in affected regions.
