Bhopal: Under the guidance of senior officers, a special campaign is being run to check the purchase, sale, and transport of illegal drugs. Under this campaign, the Misrod Police has succeeded in arresting two smugglers with the illegal narcotic Ganja.
On January 6, vehicle checking was being done by police station Misrond at an 11-mile outpost. During checking, at around 7.05 pm, two persons were seen coming on a Royal Enfield motorcycle, who was stopped by the police and they tried to run away after seeing the police checking.
They were arrested by the police. On asking the names of the arrested persons, they gave their names as Sanjeev Saudagar and Ajay Kewat residents of Bengali Colony district Hoshangabad. On search of both, 10 kg of illegal narcotic Ganja was found in a plastic sack kept with them which was duly confiscated. Along with this, the Royal Enfield motorcycle used in transportation has also been seized by the police from the accused. A case of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and taken up for investigation.
