Chennai: Mariappan from Chengalpattu District, Anna Nagar on 21.4.2022 was looking at a billboard of Indian Oil Corporation Petrol, operating at West Ghat Road, Raiyapet, Chennai. He went into hiding after stealing Rs.14,000/ – from the petrol station after working there till evening. Petrol bunk manager Sivakumar (44) lodged a complaint at the Annasalai police station and an investigation was launched.
A police team led by the Annasalai Police Crime Branch Investigator went to the spot and conducted an intensive investigation. Mariappan (33) of Chengalpattu district was arrested on 1.5.2022 and Rs.1, 100 was confiscated from him. Court action is being taken against the said accused.
