Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand: Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Uttarkashi, Mrs. Kamlesh Upadhyay, Uttarkashi Police conducted Police–Community Meetings in several villages as part of an ongoing public awareness campaign aimed at strengthening community safety and trust.
Police teams held interactive meetings in the villages of Koti (Rajgarhi), Math (Purola), Shrikot, Dwarikhal (Dharasu), and Bagori (Harshil), falling under the limits of Barkot, Purola, Dharasu, and Harshil police stations. During these meetings, villagers were sensitized about the harmful effects of drug abuse, cybercrime prevention, women’s safety, and road safety practices.
Special attention was given to the elderly and senior citizens, with police personnel inquiring about their well-being and reassuring them of continuous police support, protection, and assistance. The initiative reflects Uttarkashi Police’s commitment to community-oriented policing, preventive awareness, and building safe, informed, and drug-free villages through public participation.
