Vellore: The Vellore Police after successful closure of Amma Biriyani case worth 250 sovereigns of gold, with the arrest of accused Rayapati Vengiah and recovery another gem from his possession. In the Jos Alukkas theft booty of 16 Kg/ 2000 sovereigns of gold worth Rs.8.5 crore has been recovered within a week with the arrest of the accused.
The ASP of Vellore while praising the team involved in the speedy recovery of the stolen booty said can’t explain the brilliance of the team under SP Vellore, including 5 DSPs, 10 Inspectors, and 100s of policemen with Forensics, Cyber, and technical analytics. The special control room analyzed 7-day data from 200 city cameras within 3 days to reach this conclusion in jet speed.
