<![CDATA[VIJAYAWADA: Following in the footsteps of Anantapur, Nellore and Chittoor police, the Vijayawada Police launched the 'Locked House Monitoring System' (LHMS) to prevent burglaries. According to Joint Commissioner Mr. BV Ramana Kumar people can avail the security feature by downloading and installing 'LHMS AP Police' or the Vijayawada police' indigenous 4th Lion app. They should note down the registration ID and click 'request to police watch' in the app and enter the ID, the number of days they will be away , and the dates and timings of their departure and arrival. The registration must take place 24 hours before the resident leaves the house to ensure that the police can install a CCTVcamera which would be monitored by the police control room.]]>
