Vikarabad, Telangana: In a comprehensive initiative to strengthen law and order and enhance public safety, Vikarabad Police conducted a large-scale Community Contact Operation in Mallemoniguda village under the supervision of Parigi Deputy Superintendent of Police Srinivas. The operation was carried out under the directions of District Superintendent of Police Sneha Mehra, IPS, with the participation of nearly 160 police personnel.

As part of the special drive, police conducted extensive vehicle checks and verification of suspicious persons across the village. During the operation, officers seized 45 two-wheelers, three auto-rickshaws, and one car that were found without valid documents. In addition, 39 litres of illicit liquor were confiscated, dealing a blow to illegal liquor activities in the area.

The enforcement drive also focused on road safety and traffic compliance. Police issued 31 traffic challans and collected ₹12,245 in fines from violators. Suspected individuals were verified using the Papillon biometric device, enabling quick identity verification and strengthening preventive policing.

Beyond enforcement, the operation emphasized community awareness and public engagement. Police personnel interacted with villagers and conducted awareness sessions on cybercrime prevention, the dangers of drug abuse, women’s safety, and the importance of installing CCTV cameras to prevent and detect crimes.

The programme witnessed the participation of Circle Inspectors Kondal Reddy and Sridhar Reddy, Sub-Inspectors, Quick Response Team (QRT) personnel, and other police staff, who worked together to ensure the smooth execution of the operation.

The successful community contact programme reflects the commitment of Vikarabad Police to proactive policing, crime prevention, and building stronger partnerships with the public to create a safer and more secure society.
