Gwalior: Superintendent of Police, Gwalior Mr. Amit Sanghi IPS received a piece of information from an informer that a large quantity of illicit liquor was kept in a factory located in Baraghat Industrial Area under Jhansi Road police station. On the information of the informer, Apua Mr. Rajesh Dandotiya was directed by the Superintendent of Police, Gwalior to form a joint team of Crime Branch and Police Station Jhansi Road for quick action.
On the instructions of senior police officers, the team of the station in-charge Mr. Sanjeev Nayan Sharma raided this factory. While monitoring the factory, the police started searching Jeetu Baghel and Vijay Baghel on the basis of suspicion. For the first time, the police found nothing. Then after confirming the informer’s information, in the second search, after opening the door of a cupboard, a cache of about 1100 liters of illegal English and 100 liters of country liquor was found in the room.
The police have also recovered a vehicle from the spot, which, on closer examination, revealed that there was an underground cabin from the trunk of the car to the back seat, which used to transport liquor. Apart from this, an Eicher truck has also been recovered. The police are registering a case against both the accused in Jhansi Road police station and interrogating them and finding out the owners of the seized vehicles so that the police can reach the root cause of the illegal liquor business.
