Kishtwar: Today on the eve of Baisakhi Kishtwar Police In-collaboration with wrestling’s Committee organized Wrestling Competition at Chowgan Ground. About 10 wrestlers from adjoining areas participated in the event.
More than 5 matches were fought between different wrestlers. Match for final bout was fought between wrestlers Vikar Younas & Rinku Kumar, which was won by Rinku Kumar. Huge gathering of about 4000 persons from Kishtwar and adjoining areas witnesses the event.
The event was witnessed by Mr. Sunil Sharma Ex Mos, Mr. Rajinder Singh Addl SP Kishtwar, Mr. Zia ul Haq Deputy SP DAR, Inspector Mr. Abid Bukhari SHO of Kishtwar Police Station and other officers of police department and senior citizens and of Kishtwar area.
On the occasion, SSP Kishtwar Mr. Shafqat Hussain Batt JKPS stressed on the importance of sports activities in the life of a person especially youths. Sports activities keep them physically and mentally fit to achieve desirous progressive goals. Besides it also keep them away from social evils like drug abuse and other anti-social activities.
