Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu: In a major success for the Cyber Crime Wing, Kanyakumari District Police recovered 320 missing mobile phones worth approximately ₹48 lakh and returned them to their rightful owners.
District Superintendent of Police Dr. R. Stalin personally handed over the recovered devices and appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Cyber Crime Wing personnel involved in the operation.
Police officials stated that during the past year alone, the district police successfully traced and returned 1,265 mobile phones valued at nearly ₹2 crore to citizens.
The department also advised the public to immediately report lost mobile phones at the nearest police station or through the Tamil Nadu Police Citizen Portal and the CEIR portal to block and trace devices.
The initiative highlights the commitment of the police towards public service and effective use of technology in crime prevention and recovery operations.
