Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu: Under the leadership of Dr. R. Stalin, IPS, Superintendent of Police for Kanyakumari District, all security operations related to the 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Elections were meticulously planned and executed, concluding peacefully and without any untoward incidents. Election Campaign Security: From the moment the Election Commission announced the election date, the Police Department implemented proper security arrangements for the campaigns conducted by leaders and members of various political parties across the district, thereby ensuring that all events proceeded smoothly. Election Day Security: On the day of polling, thanks to the rigorous and precise security measures implemented by the District Police, voting took place in a peaceful atmosphere, free from any criminal activities or untoward incidents. Security of Voting Machines: The Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for the district’s six legislative assembly constituencies were securely stored at the Government College of Engineering in Konam, Nagercoil, and were placed under continuous 24-hour police surveillance. Vote Counting Day Security: The vote counting process was conducted at the Government College of Engineering in Konam, Nagercoil, for which extensive and multi-layered security arrangements were put in place. With the police maintaining strict vigilance both at the counting center and across the district, the entire process was successfully completed without any untoward incidents.
