Later talking to reporters, Home Minister Haryana Mr. Anil Vij said that in addition to the payment of Rs 152 crore to C-DAC by the Haryana Government, 630 new emergency vehicles will be purchased by giving an amount of about 90 crore rupees. These vehicles will be equipped with various emergency equipment. He also informed that once the project is fully implemented emergency services will be available to every citizen of Haryana within 15 minutes of going to the police control room in urban areas and within 30 minutes in rural areas. The Home Minister also informed that a modern building has already been constructed by the Haryana Police for the response center in Sector-1 of Panchkula, which will be the center of the entire project.

The ERSS, also known as the Dial 112 project, was envisaged by the Ministry of Home Affairs, which introduced C-DAC to create advanced and user-friendly software to deliver sophisticated integrated emergency response systems. The project has already been implemented in 20 states and union territories of India and is being implemented in four states. However, the Haryana project is far ahead of other states in terms of commitment of resources and targeted service levels. Talking to reporters at the end of the function, the Director-General of Police, Haryana, Mr. Manoj Yadav assured that the project will be fully operational by the last week of May 2020. He informed that ERSS is the most ambitious and advanced project of the Haryana Police which is based in Haryana.

It will also provide civilians with not only police emergency services, but also other emergency services such as fire brigades and ambulances. He said that the project would be a game-changer in terms of ensuring a quick and effective response from citizens.
