Moriganon: Morigaon is a town of the town area committee and the district headquarters of the Morigaon district in the Indian state of Assam and including the headquarters of the Tiwa Autonomous Council. On 8-8-2020 an operation was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Nanda Singh Borkola, IPS SP, Morigaon in Lautoli under Mikirbheta Police Station and the police team recovered fake currency of Rs.13,40,000/- from the possession of Md. Sirajul Haque and Md. Nurul Amin.
In a separate operation, the police conducted raids on the premises of five persons and adulterated Gur (jaggery) which was being made by boiling the inedible jaggery with sugar, atta, color, and boiling them in large utensils were recovered from the spot.
