Kolkata: In view of the restrictions imposed on public transport during the ongoing Corona pandemic and for the sake of the convenience of the general public the Kolkata Police Commissioner Mr. Anuj Sharma IPS has set forth traffic regulations for the bicyclists. Mr. Anuj Sharma IPS said in the exercise of powers vested in me under Section 62, 62(1B) of Kolkata Police Act 39, 39 (1B) of Kolkata Suburban Police Act, I do hereby order that, bicycles will be allowed in the lanes and by-lanes within Kolkata Police jurisdiction. Restrictions will continue on the main arterial roads, flyovers, and any other area as notified from time to time.
The bicyclists should obey one-way restrictions and other traffic rules and regulations. This order modifies the earlier orders in this regard and shall be in force up to 31 October 2020.
