Chennai: On the orders of the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Shankar Jaiswal IPS the teams headed by the Inspectors of Police are actively monitoring and taking action against the illegal liquor sellers in Greater Chennai police station limits. Following this, on 8.8.2021, on a tip-off, a police team led by the Inspector of Police, S7 Madipakkam Police Station conducted a search in a house at No.171, 4th Street, LIC Nagar, Madipakkam, and arrested Suresh (M/40), Jayakanthan (M/41), Thirumurugan (M/35) and Venkatesan (M/24) for brewing alcohol. 6 liters of alcohol and 1 gas stove were seized from them. Legal action is being pursued.
