Chennai: On 03.08.2021, Hameeda (F/32) of Pammal lodged a complaint at S-6 Sankar Nagar Police Station stating that her 10-year-old daughter went missing while playing near her house. S-6 Sankar Nagar Police Station team investigated and searched for the girl.
On 04.08.2021, Durairaj (M/48) of Esha Pallavaram and Gnanadas (M/53) of Pozhichalur were standing near Vels Vidhyashram School, Pallavaram, and found a small girl standing alone. They enquired her and handed over the child to S-5 Pallavaram Police Station. The team interrogated and found that the girl went missing in the Sankar Nagar area and hence handed over the child to S-6 Sankar Nagar Police Station. S-6 Sankar Nagar police team handed over the girl to her parents.
On 18.08.2021, the Commissioner of Police Mr. Shankar Jiwal IPS personally invited the public Mr. Durairaj and Mr. Gnanadas, and lauded their work by presenting them with certificates of appreciation and rewards.
