Siliguri: On 21.08.21 acting on a specific tip-off, the PC team of NJP Police Station detained one pick-up van having registration number WB/xx/B/xxxx at Fulbari, and on search, they recovered six packets of Ganja having a total weight 43Kg 200 grams.
The contraband ganja was being transported in the said vehicle by two people namely Elius Rahaman (23 years) (Driver) and Talif Hossain (22 years).
Both the accused persons have been arrested and taken into custody, and the contraband ganja and the vehicle have been seized.
A specific case under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at NJP Police Station.
Necessary follow-up actions are being taken.
