Siliguri: On 24.08.21 acting upon credible input, Officers and men of Ambari Out Post under NJP Police Station intercepted one pickup van at Sahudangi more.
During the search, the police recovered and seized 143 kilograms and 400 grams of contraband Ganja from the said vehicle. One Biswajit Barman, the owner of the said vehicle has been arrested and taken into custody.
A specific case under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been started, and the accused person has been presented before the LD Court today. Follow-up actions are being taken.
