Bhopal: The Cyber Crime Investigation and Intelligence Summit-2021 concluded. In the rapidly changing world, along with land, sea, air, and space, the cyber domain has also become a widespread and important place. It has unlimited use potential. While the common people are getting benefited by the use of new technology, anti-social elements are also committing various crimes due to its misuse. Such a summit is a relevant and commendable effort in cyber security and crime control. The said words were expressed by Madhya Pradesh Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the ten-day Cyber Crime and Intelligence Summit-2021 in the auditorium of Madhya Pradesh Police Academy, Bhouri today. He said that the economy is moving towards digital, cashless, hence strengthening of cyber security is essential. Make good use of the internet in welfare works. The participation of all the states and the guidance of international experts will definitely help in cyber security and cybercrime control. Governor Shri Patel stressed the need to include cyber security awareness in the school/college curriculum also. Addressing the program, Director General of Police Mr. Vivek Johri IPS said that a huge increase in cyber crimes has been witnessed during the COVID period. Such crimes have taken place in cities as well as in rural areas. In this summit, maximum efforts have been made for the prevention/deliberation/control of cybercrime. Experts and participants share their knowledge and techniques. The DGP said that “the participants of the summit will also share the knowledge gained during this period with their colleagues/subordinates and train them so that speedy action is possible on these crimes.”
Special Director General of Police (Training) Mrs. Aruna Mohan Rao IPS informed that more than three thousand officers have participated in the summit. Guidance has been received from more than 56 national/international subject experts. Coordination and exchange of technical know-how among all states will help in quick and effective action. He said that the summit was as expected. In the closing ceremony, Mrs. Margaret of UNICEF also gave a virtual address on Cyber Crime and Emerging Technology.
At the conclusion of the summit, Additional Director General of Police Training Mrs. Anuradha Shankar, Director of Police Academy Mr. Rajesh Chawla, Additional Director General of Police Cyber Cell Mr. Yogesh Deshmukh, Retired Director General of Police Madhya Pradesh Mr. Rishi Kumar Shukla, and Vice President of Clear Trail Sanstha Mr. Manohar Katoch was along with the summit. Representatives and officials of the organizations associated with the event were present. The vote of thanks was given by Deputy Director Police Academy Dr. Vineet Kapoor.
In the summit, more than three thousand police officers from Madhya Pradesh and other states learned the nuances of dealing with cybercrime and gathering intelligence through modern methods. The summit was organized by Madhya Pradesh Police in association with Soft Click Foundation, UNICEF, and Clear Trail Communication Analytics. At the summit, the techniques of cybercrime prevention were taught by the renowned cybercrime and intelligence experts of the country and the world. The summit covers important topics such as online gaming and gambling, cryptocurrency and crypto-trade crimes, financial fraud, crime-solving over encrypted VoIP communications, drone technology, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML). ) and other topics were discussed. This summit was also organized with the aim of preventing cyber crimes against women and children and increasing the efficiency of police officers.
