Trivandrum: The Kerala Police said people in the areas around the dams from which the decision has been taken to release the water should be extremely careful. The release of water from the three dams is in line with the decision of a committee appointed by the government to monitor the water level in the dams. Shutters open with all precautions taken. The shutters of Idukki Dam will be opened on 19.10.21 (Tuesday) at 11 am and that of Idamalayar at 6 am. The opening time of the Pampa Dam will be decided on Tuesday.
Caution is advised everywhere when opening dams. The process of moving people to a safer place is in progress. Everyone should be prepared to follow the instructions given by the authorities and exercise extreme caution.
