Mandsaur: Superintendent of Police Mandsaur Mr. Sunil Kumar Pandey IPS has directed the district police to prevent illegal drug trafficking in the district and take effective action against the smugglers.
Following the instructions, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Mandsaur Dr. Amit Verma IPS and Municipal Superintendent of Police Mandsaur Mr. Parmalsingh Mehra IPS, on 21 November, the police team of Kotwali police station seized two kilograms of illegal narcotic opium and a motorcycle worth about two lakhs from the possession of two smugglers of Rajasthan and also has succeeded in seizing 40 thousand rupees.
In the same sequence, on November 21, acting on the information received from the informer, the police team of Kotwali police caught two persons riding an unnumbered motorcycle from number 10 Naka Pratapgarh Road, Mandsaur.
On asking the names of the arrested persons, he told his name to be Shivlal father Ghisalal Gurjar age 26 years, and Lokesh father Mathuralal Dhakad age 24 years. On search of the arrested accused, a total of two kilograms of illegal narcotic opium was found from their possession, which was seized from Maya motorcycle, and both the accused were arrested. On questioning the accused in relation to the illegal narcotic substance opium, he told that the illegal drug opium was brought by Rajesh father Sunderlal Gurjar and to be given to Bhura Bhai resident of Javra. On which both the persons have been made accused in the case, who is being searched.
In this case, a crime has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act in the police station Kotwali and taken up for investigation. Kotwali police station in-charge Inspector Mr. Amit Soni, Sub-Inspector Mr. Jitendra Singh Chauhan, constable Mr. Driver Rohit Chakre, and constable Mr. Laluram Meghwal Mandsaur played an important role in the arrest of the accused.
