Chennai: In view of the heavy North East Monsoon rainfall there have been many issues concerning waterlogging on the roads. The traffic police have given an alternative traffic plan to enable the movement of vehicles to their respective destinations.
The Waterlogged areas and Traffic diversions gave by the police are as follows: Rangarajapuram Two-wheeler subway – Traffic closed, Traffic has been restricted due to the accumulation of rainwater in the Madley subway, K.K.Nagar Rajamanar Road – Traffic closed and diverted towards 2nd avenue, Valasaravakkam, Mega mart road – Traffic closed and diverted towards Keshavardhani road to reach Arcot road.
Vani Mahal to Benz Park – Traffic closed and diverted towards Habibullah road and Raghavaiah road, To facilitate the drain water work at Anna main Road in front of K.K.Nagar G.H, the traffic intending towards Udhayam theatre is allowed in the opposite direction. Similarly at Udhayam junction, the heavy vehicles from Kasi point and intending towards Anna main Road are diverted towards Ashok pillar, Traffic from Medavakkam to Sholinganallur is restricted but diverted to Sholinganallur via Kamatchi Hospital, Ashok Nagar Postal Colony Road vehicles were moving slowly.
