Chennai: Since the Omicron has spread widely and many are affected by the pandemic the Government of Tamil Nadu has announced lockdown to prevent the further spread of the pandemic. As the full curfew is in effect today 9.1.2022, train and air passengers who have already booked are advised to show a copy of the ticket at the police checkpoint and ask for a copy of the ticket from the passenger when boarding the auto and taxi to get to the train station and airport.
