Srinagar: Srinagar police have arrested three accused in connection with the kidnapping and sexual harassment of a minor girl. The car used for the crime was also seized.
On 11.2.2022, the police station Bemina received a complaint that his minor daughter, a resident of Mansoor Colony Bemina, had been kidnapped by unidentified persons. Accordingly, a case was registered, an FIR was filed and the investigation was started.
Subsequently, a special team was immediately set up, which acted swiftly and the TRC immediately recovered the missing girl from Srinagar.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the minor girl was kidnapped and sexually harassed by three men. Three suspects have been arrested by carrying out raids in several areas. They were identified as Basit Ali, son of Ali Mohammad Dar, Irfan Ahmad Nazar, son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of Fruit Mandi in Parimpora, and Firdaus Ahmed Anghar, son of Gulzar Ahmed, a resident of Birwa in Budgam.
As part of the investigation, the necessary medico-legal formalities were carried out and the girl was handed over to her legal heirs. The car used for this heinous crime was also seized along with the accused. The case is being further investigated.
