Chennai: A 17-year-old girl from her parents living in the Washermenpet police district of Chennai is studying in class 11. While the girl was going to school and returning home, Thurairaj (v / 36) followed the girl and sexually harassed her, telling her to talk to him on her cell phone.In this situation, on 16.04.2022 at around 09.45 pm when the girl went to the shop to buy groceries, Thurairaj went near the girl and sexually harassed her again.
The 17-year-old girl lodged a complaint at the Tiruvottiyur All Women’s Police Station and an investigation was launched.The police team led by the Inspector of All Women Police Station, Tiruvottiyur conducted a serious investigation and it was revealed that it was true that the accused Thurairaj had sexually harassed the 17 year old girl.The police filed a case against POCSO Act and arrested the accused Thurairaj (36) of Puthuvannarapettai. Court action is being taken against the said the accused.
