CHENNAI: Chennai Traffic Police have made traffic arrangements in view of Kaanum Pongal celebrations on January 16 to handle the large turnout of people at Marina beach. Police said, regular traffic arrangements will be followed as long as it is possible on Monday. In case of large number of people gathering near Labour statue and Kannagi Statue, vehicles approaching from north Chennai will be diverted at War Memorial towards Flag Staff road, Anna salai, General Patters Road, Royapettah tower clock and Radhakrishnan Salai, Police added. Vehicles coming from Adyar will be diverted at Kannagi statue towards Bharathi Salai, Bells Road and Wallajah Road. Only one-way traffic will be allowed on Bharathi Salai with entry from Kannagi Statue and no entry from the Bells Road junction, Police said.]]>
