Tiruvannamalai: According to the confidential information received by Tiruvannamalai District Superintendent of Police Mr.K.Karthikeyan, IPS, under the supervision of Arani Utkota Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr.V.A.Ravichandran, IPS under the supervision of Arani Rural Police Station Police Inspector Mr. P. Pugal and During the joint search conducted by the officers of the Food Safety Department, Pushpa (42) of Arani Vattam, Ariyapadi village, K/P Shekhar was found to be in possession of banned drugs like hans and gutka for sale in the vanilla box store of Ariyapadi village and he was arrested and appropriate action was taken.
Also Nandakumar (34) of Gunnathur village, Arani Vattam, Mr. Shekhar was found to be in possession of banned narcotics such as hans and gutka for sale in his box store at Gunnathur Bazaar and he was arrested and appropriate action was taken. Also seized from them were 1,100 kg narcotics like hans and gutka. Both the shops were also sealed in the presence of Food Safety Department officials.
