Rachakonda: On May 31, 2021, at around 6:00 PM, the Keesara Police received a complaint from a laborer residing in a labor shed stating that his second daughter was missing. The complainant made all possible efforts to locate her, but in vain. Later, it was discovered that the accused, Abhiram Das, had kidnapped the victim girl under the pretext of giving her chocolates and biscuits and took her to an isolated area at Nagaram reserved forest near Katta Maisamma Temple, where he raped her. He dropped the abandoned victim girl in the bushes in front of a kirana shop at Bandlaguda and escaped. The police registered a case, collected evidence, arrested the accused, and filed a charge sheet after completion of the investigation.
On April 19, 2023, during the trial, the Hon’ble MSJ Court at Malkajgiri Judge Mr. R.Raghunath Reddy convicted the accused Abhiram Das and sentenced him to life imprisonment, along with a fine of Rs.5,000/-. The prosecution was represented by several officers, including the 1st Inspector of Police Mr. J.Narender Goud, 2nd IO Addl. DCP Mr. K.Shiva Kumar, Addl. PP. Mr. D.Upender, Addl. PP. Mrs. Rajini, CDO Mr. P.Srinivas Goud, Summons Mr. L.Suresh, and PC 4156 of Keesara Police Station. The CP Rachakonda Mr. D. S. Chauhan IPS and Joint CP Mr. V. Satyanarayana IPS appreciated the efforts of the officers involved in the case, including the 10, CDO, Addl. PP, Mr. P.Raghuveer Reddy, SHO of Keesara PS, Mr. Y Venkat Reddy, ACP Kushaiguda Division, and Mrs. D. Janaki, IPS, DCP Malkajgiri Zone, and announced rewards for them.
