Rachakonda: On April 29, 2023, based on credible information, the Special Operations Team of Malkajgiri Zone and Abdullapurmet police apprehended three individuals who are residents of Bowenpally, Hyderabad, and natives of Haryana state for their involvement in the transportation of 65 kilograms of Contraband Dry Ganja from upper Sileru to Hyderabad for illegal financial gain. The seized property includes 65 kilograms of Ganja and three mobile phones, which are collectively valued at approximately 20 Lakhs. The case has been registered under the NDPS Act 1985 at the Abdullapurmet Police Station, Rachakonda Commissionerate.
The accused individuals are identified as Shyam Phool s/o Fathechand Sharma, aged 43 years, Pramod Kumar s/o Surender Singh, aged 23 years, and Pramod Kumar s/o Harpool Singh, aged 20 years. Balram@ Ballu Bhai and a resident of Bowenpally, is the main organizer of the illegal operation and is currently absconding.
The accused individuals are labor workers in different packers and movers companies at Bowenpally, and Balram@ Ballu Bhai has established connections with Ganja suppliers in upper Sileru of Andhra Pradesh. Balram@ Ballu Bhai offered Shyam Phool, Pramod Kumar and Pramod Kumar to transport Ganja from upper Sileru to Hyderabad for which he promised to pay them an appropriate amount of money. Due to their low earnings, Shyam Phool, Pramod Kumar and Pramod Kumar agreed to Balram@ Ballu Bhai ‘s offer and acted as per his instructions.
On the day of the arrest, Shyam Phool, Pramod Kumar and Pramod Kumar were seen acting suspiciously near the Outer Ring Road with three luggage bags after getting off a bus at Pedda Amberpet, under the limits of Abdullapurmet Police Station. Acting on the reliable information, the SOT of Malkajgiri Zone and Abdullapurmet Police arrested the suspects and seized the Contraband Dry Ganja from their possession.
The arrest operation was conducted under the direct supervision of Mr. DS Chauhan. IPS., Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, and under the guidance of Mr. R. Giridhar, IPS., DCP of SOT, Malkajgiri, by Mr. A. Manmohan, Inspector of Police of Abdullapurmet PS, Mr. A. Ramulu, Inspector of Police, SOT, Malkajgiri Zone, and Sub-Inspectors Mr. P. Vasudev and Mr. G. Raghu Ramudu, along with other police personnel from the SOT of Malkajgiri Zone and Abdullapurmet Police Station of Rachakonda.
