Dispur: In a targeted and meticulous operation, the Special Task Force (STF) carried out a raid within the jurisdiction of Dispur Police Station, specifically in the Khanapara locality. This strategic intervention led to the successful apprehension of two individuals, namely Mukut Mondal and Rajdeep Chungkrang, known for their persistent involvement in drug peddling and extensive history of thievery.
The confiscated items during the operation included a substantial amount of heroin, a significant sum of cash, stolen mobile phones, syringes, and a psychoactive substance. The recovery of these illicit materials highlights the magnitude of criminal activities that Mondal and Chungkrang were allegedly engaged in.
This successful operation not only dealt a blow to the network of habitual drug peddlers and veteran thieves but also underscores the law enforcement’s commitment to addressing and curbing the menace of illicit activities within the community.
