Palakkad: Mr. Ramu Ramesh Chandra Bhanu, the Judge presiding over the Pattambi FTSC, handed down a sentence of 18 years of rigorous imprisonment along with a Rs. 2 lakh fine to the accused Krishnankutty, aged 68, son of Shankaran Nair, residing at Krishna Niwas, Manissery, Trikkamkot. It was decreed that the fine be directed towards the victim. The case, initially registered and presented in court by Sub Inspector Praveen K. J, received support from female CPO Bindu, as well as Ramdir, Mohanan, and Rajeev. Advocacy for the prosecution was provided by Advocate Nisha Vijayakumar, with Assistant Sub-Inspector Maheshwari from the Pattambi Police Station aiding the prosecution efforts.
